Fort Gustaf

Information
Visit the north side of the city for a breathtaking view of the port and its history, built in 1787 by the Swedes as one of three forts that protected the port from invasion, this site now houses the remains of a loosely bottled lighthouse as well as the remains of a stone guard house, tanks and four cannons, two of which have been loaned by a Swedish maritime museum. The main reason for trekking here is the panoramic view of Gustavia and the port. A plaque indicates sights and local points of interest.
